Good Morning Glories ~
I pray that you all have been well since I've been away !
Speaking of which ,I know I owe an explanation of what has taken me so long to get on here and write a little... ( some of it is just crazy unbelievable , but true non the less )
So... I thought I would just whip them out in a top ten list sort of thing ..just to make it interesting ...
1. On December 30th 2011 I fell down in a pot hole in the parking lot of Michaels craft store parking lot and broke my right ankle, what a way to bring in the New Year !
2. Go to Ortho Surgeon next day and get a cast put on ...NO walking down stairs ( Craft Studio in basement ) ..or driving ...for 4 weeks at least , needless to say I didn't get much work done !
3. On January 26th 2012 I received a phone call from my absolute favorite Country Store " Canal Country Artisans " the owner Patty, invited me to come and set up a booth at her store, I was given just a few days and two weeks total to get as many things done as I could , design a booth ,build it , get everything all priced and set up ..I took the challenge , broken ankle and all!
4. On February 13th 2012 ..I moved in to my brand new amazing booth "No 17" that my sweetest husband Paul so graciously made for me ..you can see it in the photos I will be posting ..he put up white wainscoting for me ..it turned out just like I always dreamed it would ! Thank you Paul ,my sisters Wendy and Betsy for ALL YOUR HELP !!
5. On February 16th 2012 ...my youngest son Corey turned 21...I just cannot believe it ...my baby is 21 ..I spent the day reminiscing over his baby pictures and crying ..they grow up too fast ..just way too fast ..Happy Birthday Corey I love you !..and no matter how old you get ,you'll always be my baby !
6. On February 17th 2012 ..I turned 50 yrs old !! We celebrated by going to some thrift stores ( that's really what I wanted to do lol !) On February 18th 2012 ..hubby surprised me with an amazing 50th Birthday Party ! Yeah !! I was so so shocked and surprised I had no idea at all and he really showed no signs of planning anything. It was so much fun and all of my dearest friends were there to help celebrate my special day. The food was awesome !
7. On February 19th 2012 ..Our whole family went out for a beautiful dinner to celebrate the two Birthdays at the "Seneca Niagara Casino" in a restaurant called "La Cascade" ..amazing food, wonderful time !
8. On February 20th 2012 ...I get an unexpected phone call from Patty at Canal Country Artisans that all of my furniture has been sold and I no longer have anything to place my smaller items on..??? Say that again ? I just killed my self getting all of that ready ..and in literally 5 days it's gone ?? I was so caught off guard and very shocked ..but very happy as well ..that so many people liked my items ! ...Back to working like crazy ..it's a good thing :)
9. On February 21st 2012 ...I woke up with THE FLU !! Yes ..the really really bad one ! I was in bed for almost two weeks ..and sick for a month ..it was horrible ..and I still have a lingering cough. My adorable hubby got a few pieces of furniture all sanded and painted for me and we brought them to my booth ...I don't know what I would do without him !
10. I'm starting to finally feel somewhat normal...and I'm trying to get caught up with everything I am so behind on and hoping to get into a regular routine once again. But wouldn't ya know it ? I get yet another call from Pat at CCA ..they bought me out again ! So anyway...I am trying to hard to keep up with all of this ..and get ready for my summer shows as well ..but frankly ..I am pooped !
What a crazy exciting year for me so far ..but I am absolutely 100% grateful and so so blessed ! I thank God for these blessings and opportunities He has given me ! Oh yeah ...the ankle is doing great and healing nicely too !

The Attic Pictures ! Finally ...
Morning Glories~
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving ...we sure did ! And I'm sure everyone is now getting ready for the big day Dec 25th Christmas! I'm having so much fun making all the cool DIY crafts I have found on Pinterest for Christmas gifts and decor in our home...but that's my next blog ..this one is the "Attic Finds" photos ...finally they are here ..and I have to apologize for the delay...I made it up to the attic okay..and found almost everything that I was looking for and more {except the wire basket} ...but when I tried to take some photos of all I had found my camera decided to act up ..I tried using my sons Cannon but it is way to complicated for me... I am trying to learn so hopefully you will find better quality photos in the near future ..lol ! well without any further a due the cool treasures I found up in my attic ~
This is the old Westclock that I was looking for.. Yeah !! I love this clock ..isn't it so cool and vintage ~
This was inside of an old "Teen Beat" magazine I had among some of the things I had saved from my tween years ! Sea Monkeys ..too funny !
Some fun vintage stuff ..my Grandmothers bottle of Johnson's baby oil ..a few of my Grandfathers movie films...my childhood Mary Poppins spoon {that came from a box of cereal 40 yrs ago}...and my Great Grandmothers crystal {what I say is candle holders but my Mom tells me they were actually used for salt..to dab your green onions into ?} I will have to do some research on this one
These are my dolls from when I was around 8 yrs old { they need some help !}
This is one of the hundreds of salt and pepper shakers that my Great Grandmother collected... a sea horse and sea weed ...isn't it darling !
Two beautiful pieces of Roseville Pottery ..my Grandmothers... the bigger piece has a broken handle ..but I think it's still precious !
My older sister made this for me ..it is a reverse painting ..She is really talented ~
I picked up this vintage baseball glove years ago from a yard sale ..I guess I just couldn't part with it ?{sorry about the fuzzy pic quality}
My other Great Grandmother "Martha May Minnick " initials engraved on the back ..sweet ~
My two treasured bottles ...I know that the vintage Coke bottle I got from an old country store during our road trip family vacation to Florida in the 70's [yes I saved it all these years ..what can I say I've always been a collector } the Pepsi bottle I do not remember where it came from but I know it was from many years ago ...and the white enamel chamber pot was one of my very first yard sale finds !
Another one of my Grandmothers treasures ..this always sat on her dresser in her room ..I used to tell her over and over how much I loved this ...why did I ever pack this up there ? { oh yeah ...cause I had two toddler boys} All grown up now time to keep this out on my dresser now ~
A collectors pack of retired Crayola crayons I love crayons !
{sorry another blur job ...I told you my camera is horrible} Maybe Santa will bring me a new one ?
Some of my sons baby shoes ..oh the memories ...I had a good cry {these are not vintage or even very interesting ...but they are priceless to me !}
I found this relic up in the attic ..1946 Buffalo News ...I don't think this was mine ...I believe it was left up there by the previous owners ...some really interesting ads in here ...
Imagine that.. 20 cents for a sandwich...lol
They just tore The Aud down last summer ..so sad ..so many memories there for me ...

My sweet Grandmother {God rest her soul} made these for me ..she was so amazingly talented she sewed everything by hand ..and crocheted...did cross stitch... quilts and so many beautiful things ..these are so special to me ..I think I will re-frame these and hang them up in my workshop so she will always inspire me with her awesome work !
I hope you enjoyed my fun treasure hunting adventure as much as I did! I never found the wire basket ..oh well ..but I did find the clock and I found so many wonderful family treasures and even better many beautiful memories of my family and my childhood..and that will never fade ...never be lost..only kept locked up in my heart ...forever ~
